The Blue Biz Myth
Once upon a time...
There was a lady.
A lady that needed to change her life.
She knew what she needed: she had to find... "the one". The blue prince that whould take her away from her grey, mundane, I-don't-make-it-to-the-end-of-the-month life.
And she heard about this prince.
She overcame certain unplausible obstacles to reach him and then...
Happy ever after.
Sounds familiar, right?
And we all know it's a fairy tale and that this is not real life.
The myth persists.
And if you switch "prince" for "passion", you get the new thing that we are being told to buy into: the Blue Biz Myth.
You need to leave your existence, find your passion, change your mindset, and then sit down to make it rain.
Except that your passion is yours.
It's in you. You don't have to find it.
It's already there.
So keep track of your patterns: what have you steadily done for most of your life? what do you read about when you have free time? What do several activities that you do have in common?
Your passion is there. And the best part is that, since it's yours, you can do whatever you want with it. It's multi-faceted. It can turn into many, many activities (for example, my passion is creativity, ideas. I've written, drawn, done marketing, studied Art Theory and designed products. They all share the same base, and come out as completely different activities).
Because it's your life and you can choose to do whatever you want with it.
